Electric Vehicles (EVs) drive historic Route66 from LA to Oklahoma, forging the path for the future of automotive transportation in America and spreading the good word of electric vehicles along the way.
Want to get involved? Currently recruiting:
This is the first time a fleet of electric vehicles will be driven cross-country, giving the opportunity for people to participate in the drive by test driving the EVs as they pass through their cities.
01: LET’S BE HONEST; EVS ARE COOL
But your car is probably a gas car, so you’ve probably never driven an EV before.
02: EVS ARE THE FUTURE
So, your next car is likely going to be an EV.
03: WE ALL NEED A VACATION, SO WHY NOT A ROADTRIP?
Kidding, but not. Route66 is a historic roadway and was a symbol of Americana, mobility, and chasing dreams. Built from Chicago, south to Tulsa, then hooking west to LA< we’re staging the ‘new Americana’ road trip, powered by EVs.
04: EV MAKERS WANT YOUR FEEDBACK
See point #2. EV car makers want you to experience the future of driving. This isn’t staged — we’re getting real people in real cars for a really long drive.
Okay, we have created a roadmap 🤓 for how we do this thing. The question you have to ask yourself right now is, are you down with the rEVolution?
Open call to all EV car makers to join the beliEVe drive, giving people across the country to test drive their EVs and get real-time reactions and feedback.Give us A Car!
Sign up test drivers
Open call for drivers. This is ANYONE who wants to drive an EV and see what the buzz (🙄 lol) is all about. You’ll sign up for a test drive time slot for when the beliEVe drive passes through your city. Car snacks included.
Start the drive!
We kick off the drive/race in bEVerly Hills, duh. Drivers will head for Tulsa, home of the Big Fucking Field.
It’s like you’re right there in the EV with them. Follow along as we livestream via Twitch, create challenges, upvote cars, and meet test drivers across the country.
Arrive in Tulsa, celebrate
Fingers crossed new Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg is waiting for the first car at the finish line. But Pete or no Pete, there will be a celebration. Imagining that the atmosphere is electric. Can’t wait.
Help us get your favorite EV car maker to participate in the drive, plz. These are the cars you’ll have a chance to drive as we pass through your city — also these are the cars that you’ll be able to experience inside and out as we stream content from the drive.
Click on your favorite EV car to tweet the manufacturer and tell them to join the drive.
Eh, I’m a team of people. The idea was started by a field, a field rejected for a Tesla gigafactory location, but that’s another story. Instead of being scorned, this field is focusing all its energy to publicizing EVs, making them more accessible. Spreading light.
I’m a joint effort of fields and humans that love EVs, and really want to see more of them everywhere, but specifically in Tulsa.
